Ceffu Approved by SIX Swiss Exchange as a Crypto Custodian for ETP Issuers

Ceffu has been approved by SIX Swiss Exchange as an eligible crypto custodian for issuers of cryptocurrency-backed Exchange Traded Products (ETPs).

This recognition enables ETP issuers to appoint Ceffu to custody the digital assets serving as collateral for products listed on SIX Swiss Exchange, one of Europe’s leading capital-market venues. It extends Ceffu’s institutional custody capabilities into the ETP market and creates a direct route for issuers to build cryptocurrency-backed products.

Supporting the Infrastructure Behind Crypto ETPs 

Crypto ETPs connect digital assets with traditional capital markets. While the products are traded through established securities-market infrastructure, the underlying cryptocurrencies must be securely held and appropriately managed by recognized crypto custodians. 

For issuers, selecting the right custodian is fundamental to bringing a credible ETP to market. Issuers require infrastructure that can securely safeguard digital assets while maintaining transparency. 

As an approved crypto custodian under SIX Exchange Regulations, Ceffu combines institutional-grade cold custody, robust controls and deep digital asset expertise to help issuers safeguard their underlying collateral. Underlying collaterals will be held in segregated cold-storage wallets, with the assets verifiable on-chain and available for independent attestation by authorized third parties.
