Ceffu to Establish Local Operations in Bhutan Through Strategic Partnership with Gelephu Mindfulness City
Ceffu and Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) today announced a strategic partnership to support the development of Bhutan’s digital asset ecosystem, including the establishment of local operations, providing institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure, and a long-term presence within Gelephu Mindfulness City.
GMC is Bhutan’s purpose-built Special Administrative Region focused on mindful, sustainable economic development, while Ceffu is an institutional grade digital asset custody platform serving global financial institutions. Together, the partners aim to build the trusted foundations needed for responsible digital asset innovation in Bhutan.
As part of the collaboration, Ceffu plans to establish a local entity within Gelephu Mindfulness City, creating a physical and operational presence in Bhutan. This includes commitments to local hiring, on-the-ground operations, and participation as a founding partner in GMC’s growing digital asset ecosystem.
The partnership will support the development of institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure, including custody capabilities and operational banking access, designed to meet the standards required by global institutions. By combining GMC’s regulatory clarity and ecosystem leadership with Ceffu’s infrastructure and operational expertise, the collaboration aims to attract high-quality digital asset firms, talent, and capital to Bhutan in a secure and well-governed environment.
